Meet the Auger Stump Planer

The Auger Stump Planer is a cost-effective, high-quality attachment designed to transform your auger into a versatile stump removal tool. Perfect for situations where full-scale stump grinding isn't warranted, it fits seamlessly onto auger drives with a 2-inch hex output—compatible with 3500 and 4500 models, and any unit meeting the necessary torque levels (or with our available adapters).

Equipped with three replaceable cutting edges that can be sharpened, as well as a starter tip that enables an 18-inch digging depth, this planer is engineered for efficiency. Guides on the cutter's trailing edge keep the unit steady in the hole, while the starter tip helps push the planer through the stump to prevent overload or jamming. Instead of outsourcing stump removal, this attachment allows you to get the job done quickly and reliably using your existing auger setup.

Auger Stump Planer Reviews

  • Very handy attachment

This has been an excellent addition to our arsenal of equipment and attachments. Material stays where it is and rocks don't go flying when near sensitive areas which could break a window. It also reaches up and over retaining walls to get where a dedicated machine cannot go. Just keep in mind it is not very fast but gets the job done very well in unique situations.
